    Sylvania Police Department
    In addition to neighborhood and traffic patrols and traditional police work, the Sylvania Police Department also provides a variety of community programs, from child safety seat inspections and senior safety checks to drug abuse prevention programs.

    Emergency medical services for Sylvania residents include Paramedics and EMTs with the fire department, Lucas County EMS, and mobile intensive care units and air medical transport.

    Refuse & Recycling

    Sylvan Lakes refuse and recycling pickup day is on Friday. Refuse pickup is weekly and recycling pickup is bi-weekly.

    Sylvania, along with other local agencies, offers a variety of refuse and recycling programs. City residents are currently offered not only weekly curbside refuse pickup but also bi-weekly recycling and green yard waste pickup. These programs work together to make our city a cleaner and more earth-friendly community.
